The Law School's Human Rights Program, founded in 1984, was the first of its kind created at Harvard. It fosters research and writing, plans conferences, issues publications, organizes clinical work for students with human-rights organizations, supports students on summer internships worldwide, and hosts about 10 visiting fellows annually. Both scholars and activists, the fellows have examined such topics as gender discrimination, freedom of religion, children's rights, and genocide. Information on the program is available at its website, "www.law.harvard.edu/Programs/HRP".
