Job Getting

Help an undergrad through the anxieties of landing that first professional assignment by offering an exploratory externship or internship this year.

The Radcliffe Externships program provides women students with a chance to accompany alumnae through several days at work and at home during spring break (March 25 to April 2). To find out how to post an externship, call Kim McGrath at (617) 496-5964, e-mail rcaa@radcliffe.edu, or visit www.radcliffe.edu/alumnae/net/externs on the World Wide Web. The deadline is in early February. Sponsored by the Office of Career Services, the Harvard Career Internship Program, in its fifteenth year, also matches sponsors and students for unpaid internships during the week of spring recess. For information, or a sponsor registration form, call program coordinator Nancy Saunders at (617) 495-2595, or e-mail nesaund@fas.harvard.edu. All internships will be available to students through an on-line database.

To list a paid summer internship at the Student Employment Office, visit their website at www.seo.harvard.edu, send mail to Byerly Hall, 8 Garden Street, Cambridge 02138, or telephone (617) 495-2585. Note: Even though all jobs listed on the Internet will also be posted on the office bulletin board, the SEO encourages alumni to use the website, because it is the medium for internship information most frequently used by students. Be certain to identify yourself as an alumnus or alumna when listing an employment opportunity.
