Stellar Service

The HAA awards Harvard Medals to alumni who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to Harvard. President Rudenstine read aloud the following citations at the HAA's annual meeting to honor this year's winners.

For Robert Shenton, Ph.D. '62--Secretary to the Corporation, the Board of Overseers, and the University, you have been a legendary administrator; a skillful expounder as well as recorder of Harvard's strengths; and her most civil among her many civil servants.

For Paul M. Weissman '52--Alumni leader and generous friend, your devotion to the well-being of this University and its international role has made Harvard a better place in which to live, learn, and grow in understanding.

And for Hope Williams Wigglesworth '48--Pillar of the Harvard and Radcliffe community, through your service to students, societies, and supporters, you have strengthened the legacy of both John Harvard and Ann Radcliffe.
