Harvard Alumni for Agriculture

This fall, we will be hosting topic-focused networking happy hours in Boston, New York City, and San Francisco—and our webinar series will be delving deep into the topics of farmland investing and big data in agriculture. We will also host an informal networking lunch in conjunction with the annual World Food Prize Laureate Award Ceremony events, which will take place in Des Moines, Iowa, in October. Harvard Black Alumni Society

Harvard Gender & Sexuality Caucus

Plans for HGSC’s Boston/Cambridge chapter include a brunch series, a monthly meet-up, the annual fall party at the Queen’s Head on October 4, and the annual holiday party in December (date TBD). Events co-sponsored by the New York City chapter include the Intercollegiate LGBT Fall Bash on September 20 at the Ritz Bar and an LGBT Alumni Mixer at La Bodega 47 Social Club in Harlem on October 22.

Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization

HVAO plans to expand its assistance to and support of the 200-plus veterans and military personnel who will be at Harvard this academic year. Our annual Welcome to Harvard Tailgate BBQ takes place before the first home football game, on September 19. On Veterans Day, November 11 at 11 a.m., we plan to rededicate Harvard’s Medal of Honor tablet in Memorial Church to recognize the addition of our eighteenth known recipient.
