With nary a Quaker in sight and the Harvard bench cheering him on, Paul Stanton Jr. ’16 cruised goalward on his 75-yard, second-period touchdown dash. The score, already Stanton’s second of the game, gave the Crimson a 14-10 lead.

Thrust into action by an injury to starting QB Connor Hempel, untried Scott Hosch filled in admirably against Holy Cross, directing the Crimson to its second touchdown, which he scored on a seven-yard run.

The nifty 28-yard punt return of Seitu Smith ’15 jump-started the Crimson on the way to the touchdown by Paul Stanton Jr. ’16 that made it 17-0.

Harvard beats Cornell 24-7 to go 4-0

Harvard's football team came to life in the second half to defeat Cornell, 24-7.

In his second straight start, quarterback Scott Hosch was 20-of-25 passing. The ever-efficient junior made use of all of his receivers, including running back Andrew Casten (28) on a 43-yard catch-and run.

Harvard bested Georgetown in football, 34-3, to make its record 3-0.

The Crimson beat the Hoyas in their first meeting, extending Harvard’s 2015 record to 3-0.

Returning from injury, Paul Stanton Jr. turned the game around with a 43-yard touchdown run in the third period. Stanton finished with 123 yards on 21 carries.
