Seven straight wins against Yale, and a shared Ivy title

Harvard partisans stormed the field at Yale Bowl to celebrate the Crimson’s seventh consecutive victory over the Blue. Thousands of discouraged Yale followers had left the Bowl at halftime.

In the final minute of play, safety Jaron Wilson stopped Penn halfback Kyle Wilcox at the Harvard 20-yard line after a one-yard gain on a swing pass. Holding off three final passing attempts, the Crimson defense quashed the Quakers’ late bid for a game-tying rally.

Strong defensive play held Columbia’s ground game to a net 49 yards rushing. Above, senior linebacker Matt Martindale (45) hauls down tailback Alan Watson. Martindale finished the game with five tackles and a quarterback sack.

Andrew Flesher's last-minute field goal makes it 11 straight over the Big Green.

Ricky Zorn (5) was Harvard’s leading receiver in the Princeton game, with eight catches for 168 yards. Zorn scored the Crimson’s first touchdown on a 33-yard pass play, pulling in a ball that had glanced off the shoulder of a Tiger defender.

Cornerback D.J. Monroe (36) and safety Chris Splinter (1) each had an interception in Saturday’s game. The Lafayette player is Mark Ross, the Leopards’ leading receiver.

Harvard football 2013: The Crimson beat the Toreros 42-20, and Brown 41-23

Crimson football finds redemption in California.

Crimson quarterback Michael Pruneau was almost trapped for a safety by Cornell linebacker Tre’ Minor in the final quarter at Schoellkopf Field. Pruneau escaped, and directed a late drive that gave Harvard a 34-24 victory over the Big Red. At right is tailback Paul Stanton Jr., the game’s top ground-gainer.

With a slashing run that covered 17 yards, sophomore tailback Paul Stanton Jr. scored the decisive points in Harvard’s triple-overtime victory over Holy Cross. Stanton rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, caught five passes for 55 yards, and was awarded the Turco Memorial Trophy as the game’s most valuable player. At right is tight end Tyler Ott.
