Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Alumni Networking Society

Join us for Vericon XIII (www.vericon.org), on March 22-24 at Harvard. The annual science-fiction, fantasy, gaming, and anime convention features panels, games, and special events, and hosts Tamora Pierce, Greer Gilman, N.K. Jemisin, Seanan McGuire, Jennifer Pelland, and Jo Walton. The convention is co-sponsored by HRSFANS and the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association, an undergraduate organization. Registration is now open.

Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization

HVAO (www.harvardveterans.org) is working with the HAA on its new interactive website, debuting in April. We are also inviting students, alumni, faculty, and staff who are U.S. veterans/military to join our leadership and advisory teams (contact Jonas Akins ’01 or Tom Reardon ’68 at harvardveteransorg@gmail.com for further details). We will be hosting an opportunity to meet current students and fellows at a Beer Call on April 24 at Tommy Doyle’s Pub, in Harvard Square, from 5 to 7 p.m. (see details at our website and Facebook page in mid April).

Harvardwood

On March 13, our New York chapter offers an evening of inspired jazz through the Harvardwood Jazz Series. Enjoy Grammy-award winning trumpeter Lew Soloff (who has played and recorded with George Benson, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, and more) and the Lew Soloff Quartet this spring! And in Los Angeles, join Harvardwood for a professional screenwriting seminar with award-winning playwright and screenwriter Corey Mandell on April 18. Visit www.harvardwood.org for registration details.
