Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization

HVAO has launched the Harvard Veterans History Project at its website, www.harvardveterans.org. We invite all members of the Harvard community to click on the History Project tab and submit additions, corrections, and comment to harvardveterans@verizon.net. In addition, HVAO will be dedicating the amended Harvard Medal of Honor Memorial, for 17 Harvard recipients, on Veterans Day 11/11/11. Those interested in supporting this endeavor will find additional information on the our website, or may contact HVAO president Thomas P. Reardon ’68 at tom@harvardveterans.org.

Enjoy scintillating music in New York this summer with Harvardwood’s evening of romantic jazz on July 7 and concert of Beethoven, Brahms, and Boccherini on July 22. 

Join Harvardwood LA for “Art Talk and Talk Art” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on July 12. View highlights of the permanent collection and meet a LACMA curator for a behind-the-scenes look at how Hollywood’s creative experts use art archives in costume and set design. The day ends with a Harvardwood Happy Hour!

The Harvardwood Writers’ Competition is back! Polish up those screenplays, TV pilots, and plays to submit for this annual contest. Scripts will be evaluated by industry professionals and the first-place winner will receive a small cash award, free admission to the Harvardwood Writers’ Program, and a series of informational meetings with Harvardwood industry contacts. The deadline for submissions is July 31.
