The Sidney Hillman Foundation, which confers annual prizes for investigative journalism and public-interest reporting, gave its 2011 prize for magazine journalism to Tim Noah '80, of Slate, for a 10-part series on income inequality titled "The Great Divergence." Noah was an Undergraduate Fellow of Harvard Magazine.
Separately, Washington Post columnist and author E. J. Dionne Jr. '73 was recognized with a Hillman Award for Career Achievement.
