“Foreign Parts”: A Clip from the Film

Below, a clip from Foreign Parts, a 2010 documentary that provides an intimate look at the backstage work of a junkyard and doubles as an exploration of the society itself, in both its vitality and its cruelties. The film, covered in the Montage section of Harvard Magazine’s November-December issue, is co-directed by anthropologists Véréna Paravel and J.P. Sniadecki, both fellows of the Harvard Film Study Center.
